GoRide Taxi Center Driver Agreement
Introduction
This Driver Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into by and between GoRide ("Company," "We," or "GoRide") and the registered driver ("Driver," "You," or "Your"). By using the GoRide mobile application ("App") and its services, and registering under the GoRide Taxi Center, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions outlined herein.
This Agreement is a legally binding document and will be considered as electronically signed by you when you register and use GoRide services.
1. Driver Registration and Consent
1.1. By using and registering on the GoRide App, you consent to being registered under the GoRide Taxi Center.
1.2. By registering on the GoRide platform, you acknowledge that you are an independent driver operating under the GoRide Taxi Center and are subject to all applicable laws, regulations, and policies set by the Maldives Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation.
1.3. Continued use of the GoRide app implies your acceptance of this Agreement, including any updates or amendments made by GoRide from time to time.
2. Compliance with National and Local Regulations
2.1. As a registered driver under GoRide, you agree to adhere to the Maldives Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation taxi regulations, which include:
- Maintaining a valid driver’s license and commercial vehicle license.
- Ensuring that your vehicle has an up-to-date taxi permit, roadworthiness certificate, and insurance policies (third-party and comprehensive).
- Completing annual vehicle inspections and updating any other required documents.
2.2. You agree to strictly follow the Malé City Taxi Price Plan and not charge any extra or hidden fees to passengers beyond the approved fare structure.
2.3. You are responsible for keeping your GoRide account updated with your current vehicle information and license details. Failure to do so may result in suspension or termination of this Agreement.
3. Service Quality and Professional Conduct
3.1. You agree to maintain a high standard of service quality while interacting with GoRide passengers.
3.2. As a GoRide driver, you are required to:
- Treat all passengers with respect and maintain professionalism.
- Keep your vehicle clean, odor-free, and well-maintained.
- Arrive punctually at the pick-up location and follow the shortest or most appropriate route to the destination.
- Avoid dangerous driving, ensure passenger safety, and comply with all Maldives traffic regulations.
4. Payment Terms and Fees
4.1. As a driver under GoRide, you agree to the following payment terms:
- Commission Fee: A percentage of each ride fare as a commission to GoRide, which will be deducted automatically.
- Service Fee: A flat service fee may be charged per ride for using the GoRide platform.
- Any other applicable taxes or fees required by law.
4.2. GoRide reserves the right to modify its commission and service fee structure, and you will be notified of any changes through the App. Continued use of the service constitutes your acceptance of these changes.
4.3. Penalty for Non-Compliance: GoRide may impose penalties or suspend driver accounts for violating fare structures, overcharging passengers, or non-compliance with this Agreement.
5. Vehicle and Document Maintenance
5.1. You are required to maintain the roadworthiness and safety of your vehicle at all times. This includes regular servicing and inspections.
5.2. All vehicle documents must be valid and up-to-date, including the roadworthiness certificate, insurance, taxi permit, and annual fees.
5.3. GoRide reserves the right to verify your documents and vehicle status at any time. Failure to present valid documentation may result in temporary or permanent suspension from the platform.
6. Use of GoRide App and Data Privacy
6.1. By using the GoRide app, you consent to GoRide’s data usage and privacy policy. The App will collect and use your location data, ride history, and other relevant information to optimize services and improve the user experience.
6.2. Your personal information will not be shared with any third party except as required by law or to ensure compliance with the terms of this Agreement.
7. GoRide Taxi Center Operational Rules
7.1. As a driver, you are expected to follow GoRide’s operational policies related to:
- Scheduling and Shift Duties: Adhere to assigned duty schedules and notify in advance of any changes.
- Customer Ratings: Maintain a good passenger rating. Repeated low ratings may result in review or suspension.
7.2. GoRide’s Termination Rights: GoRide reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if you fail to comply with the terms of this Agreement or if your actions negatively impact the GoRide brand.
8. Legal Agreement and Binding Nature
8.1. By accepting this Agreement electronically, you are entering into a binding legal contract with GoRide.
8.2. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Maldives. Any disputes arising from this Agreement will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Maldivian courts.
9. Amendments and Updates
9.1. GoRide reserves the right to modify or amend this Agreement at any time. Any changes will be communicated to you through the GoRide app or by email.
9.2. Continued use of the GoRide platform after any such changes implies your acceptance of the updated Agreement.
10. Dispute Resolution
10.1. In the event of any disputes, GoRide encourages internal review and resolution through its customer support team before resorting to legal action.
10.2. For unresolved disputes, both parties agree to participate in arbitration proceedings as a primary means of conflict resolution.
11. Consent to Digital Contracting
11.1. This Agreement is an electronic contract and does not require a physical signature.
11.2. By clicking "Register," "Agree," or using the GoRide platform, you electronically sign and consent to the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement.
